Ben -
10 Days in the USA is a fun little game for 2 – 4 players from Alan R. Moon (Ticket to Ride) and Aaron Weissblum. It is a simple travel game that is easy to learn, yet has enough to it keep grownups interested, as well as having the hidden aspect of learning geography.
The goal of 10 Days is to create a path of ten tiles that follows specific travel arrangements. Basically you are creating a 10 day itinerary. It plays similar to the classic game Rack-O. Players start by filling their trays with ten tiles. Then they take turns drawing a tile and choosing to replace a tile or not, then discarding one of the two tiles. In order to win the tiles have to make a travel path, walking between adjacent states, driving a state away, or flying between states of a similar color with a matching plane.
I’ve had a lot of fun with this series, which also has versions for Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Some of them have the added transportation of trains and boats. Enjoy!
