Have you ever wanted to build your own palace? Well now you can! Hire artisans from the surrounding lands to build chambers, pavilions, gardens and more. But make sure you have the proper currency to buy what you want.
Alhambra is a tile laying game for 2-6 players 8 and up. Each person starts with their own Garden tile to which more tiles will be placed around. You will be collecting the four types of currency, which allows you to build a specific tile from the market. Now the artisans are greedy, and they will not give you change, but if you have exact change you get the opportunity to buy another tile. As you go, you will want to start collecting multiples of the same tile types, as the players with the most of each color during the three scoring phases earns more points. You will also get points for the longest segment of wall that you have. The walls are included on most of the tiles.
This is one of my favorite games that is easy enough for families to play together, while still having enough strategy to keep those players who like to think involved. Have fun!
