Alien Frontiers is a retro space themed board game in which players use dice that act as their space ships, resources of ore and fuel, Alien Tech Cards, and territory bonuses to aid in their quest to launch all of their colonies from deep space onto a planet that was once inhabited by Aliens but is now vacant. The player that has the most Victory Points when the last colony launches onto the planet wins the game!

While games with dice can certainly have a heavy luck element it is this writers opinion that luck is a relatively small presence in a game of Alien Frontiers. Through the acquisition of more spaceships (a player can have up to six and in some cases seven) using the abilities of Alien Tech Cards / Territory Bonus Tiles and clever placement of ones spaceships the strategy aspect absorbs the majority of any luck element. Alien Frontiers is a beautifully produced game that contains amazing retro space themed art, vibrantly colored dice and high quality painted wooden tokens as well as heavy stock, linen glossed cards. The box and its components are truly a work of modern art.

One of the greatest aspects of Alien Frontiers is the ability that it can be played with the entire family including kids, parents and grandparents while still remaining interesting and fun for the more experienced, tenured gamer. Many industry media outlets consider Alien Frontiers to be the best game of 2010 and its publisher Clever Mojo Games, a force to be reckoned with in the board game industry.

Alien Frontiers is not to be missed unless one hopes to be forever lost in deep space.
