Balderdash is a classic game of bluffing. To play Balderdash the "Dasher" or person who is reading a card outloud says and spells a word. The word is picked from a list of five words by using a six sided dice (1. is the first word, 2. is the second word...ect if a 6 is rolled you may choose any one of the five words you would like). Each player then writes down a made up definition for the word that has been said and spelt to them on a sheet of paper and hands it to the "dasher" with there initials on it. The "dasher" writes down the correct definition from the back of the card onto a sheet of paper (definition number cordiniated with the word number from the front of the card). After the "dasher" has all of the players definiton and the correct definition they read through all and see if anyone got the definition correct. If a player gets the definition right they automaticly get to move 3 spaces along the board and there definition is not read outloud. The "dasher" then reads all the definitions in random order. After all of the laughing subsides the "dasher" can re-read all of the answers so people can retain the answers. Going clockwise from the "dasher" each player bets what answer they think is correct. If you guess the correct answer you are able to move 2 spaces forward, you may move 1 space for every player (besides yourself) that votes for your phony answer, the "dasher" gets to move 3 spaces forward if noone picks the correct answer. For the following round whoever scored the most points on the current round is the next "dasher". To win you have to be the first to move your piece to the finish space. Balderdash is a great party game which really chalenges the players to be as convincing as possible with fake answers to win and laugh alot along the way.
