Game Daze Superstition Springs Employee Review, August/September 2009

David N.-

The latest game my family and I have played is Bananagrams. It is a game like scrabble but without the board. Each player is building their own crossword while trying to use up all their tiles.

Play is simple, each person starts out with 21 tiles. With which they form words in front of them. All words must be interconnected to each other. The cool part is you can rearrange your words as often as you want. Once you use up all your original tiles, everybody has to grab a new tile from the pile. Have a tile that you cannot use? Trade it in for three more tiles. The game continues until all the tiles have been played. The first person out of tiles yells “Bananas” to end the hand. All words are checked for spelling errors. If none are found, that player is the winner of the hand. We had a great time playing this game. Hands could last anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. With some pressure on you to complete words as fast as possible, the game can get a little hectic. Forming your words while having to grab additional tiles can be a little nerve wracking. My family like to play word games and this gem is a welcome addition, we will continue to play it for years to come.

This is the BEST game ever invented. It's better than scraXble in every way. Every household needs to have a BANANAGRAMS in their game drawer. It's so addictive. WE JUST LOVE IT!!!! -Chrissy
