Paradise Valley Mall Employee Recommendation, November 2011
Nathan -
"Well bob it’s looking like another perfectly sunny day for a game of blood bowl."
"It certainly does, I can’t wait to see the elf team get splattered across the field today!"
"What makes you think that’s going to happen?"
"It’s the chaos they don’t bother looking at the ball they just want to break whatever they can!"
"Oh right you are, well lets get this season rolling with a kick of-f- oh my it looks like he kicked the elf in his netherlands instead of the ball! It looks like this is going to be a great season bob!"
"It certainly does Jim it certainly does."
Blood Bowl has always had a very spot in my heart, It’s one of those games where when you’re done playing you are celebrating your loss, because your opponents team has been dwindled to such a low number they’ll barely be able to play their next game.
Pretty much anything related to Blood Bowl gets my attention and as such team manager has been on my radar for quite a while. As soon as it came out I had the plastic off the box, the components punched out and the decks shuffled before you could say “whatjaget??” Team Manager is completely different from Regular Blood Bowl, but some how it maintained that clobbering time feel. In this game rather than playing entire game of Blood Bowl you’re committing players to what will be essentially the highlights of the game. You’ll commit players from your team to either try to make plays on the ball, or smash an opponent that has the ball (or just because he look at you in a funny way your call.)
This game was so fun we actually played it about 6 times back to back the first day I got it just because we were having such a good time and wanted to try each of the teams. The game can be played by 2-4 players and it works amazingly well with any number of players. We even did a 6 player game and it worked just as well (but don’t tell fantasy flight that.) This game has only been out for a short amount of time and we’re already begging for more teams to play not because we’re board with it, but because we just want more and more and more; my friends and I are greedy like that.
