Dragon Face is a mixture between chess and checkers. Players have 3 types of pieces; Governors (move just like checkers pieces), Ambassadors (move like queens in chess), and one Emperor (moves like a king). The object of the game is to convert the enemy’s Emperor. The way you do this is by jumping over pieces much like in checkers. The game is quick to pick up and quick to play. With the fast moving pieces added to the game of checkers games are won and lost remarkably fast. Dragon face bridges the gap between the simplicity of checkers and the complexity of chess so players of any age will find themselves entertained game after game.

If you are a big chess player or even a casual Checkers fan this is a great game to check out. Dragon Face acts as a sort of hybrid between the two games bringing the jumping aspects of Checkers into combination with the Capturing of your opponents King. Each player is given 14 pieces, 7 pawns 6 generals and 1 King, each piece moves in its own specific way and can capture pieces by jumping over them, but when you capture a piece you don’t take it off the board you actually flip that piece over and the new color facing up is the player who gets to control that piece. The other interesting concept in the game is around the entire edge there’s a section called “the sacrifice zone” where if you ever have a piece go into the zone it’s stuck there for ever but it could be worth it to take your opponents king. Over all this game is really easy to learn but has a huge amount of strategy involved, whether you’re 6 or 60 you’ll thoroughly enjoy this game.
