Eye for an Eye |
An Eye for an Eye is a quick and easy game designed to have you howling with laughter. A single game is short, but you'll find it hard to stop yourself from playing again and again; if you're not careful, your whole evening might disappear in the blink of an eye!
Each player starts the game with a secret personality card, determining if they are a Druid or an Ovate. The Druids seek to hypnotise the Ovates without being noticed. Hypnosis is achieved by a rapid and discreet wink of the eye. The Ovates, meanwhile, seek to unmask the Druids. For each game, there is a loser... and for each loser, a terrible test.
Ideal for large groups, especially pre-teens, teens and cool adults.
For 5-21 people. 15 minutes.

Eye For An Eye is a simple hypnotizing game. Literally, hypnotizing people is how you win the game, if you’re a Druid that is. Within the game Eye For An Eye you are either a Druid or an Ovate. How you find out which one you are the cards are shuffled and then handed out randomly amongst players face down. Once everyone has their card in front of them, they take a quick peek. If you’re a Druid your object to win the game is to hypnotize the Ovates, while Ovates have to try and unmask the Druids. How this is done is the Druid will glance at an opponent and wink. If the opponent is an Ovate they take 5 seconds then flip their card over signaling they have been hypnotized and are now out of the game. The Druid of course has to do this without anyone catching them. If an ovate has a suspicion of someone being a Druid they call that opponent out and the opponent flips their card over to reveal if they are a druid or not. The game proceeds until either the druid has hypnotized everyone or if an Ovate catches the Druid. The loser of the game also has a task they will have to perform, usually of an embarrassing nature, like kneeling and proposing to another player.
This is a little quirky game for 5 to 21 players at least ages 12 and up.
