Forbidden Island is a fantastic cooperative strategy game were the players are trying to escape the island with all 4 treasures before the island sinks. At the start of the game each player will be dealt 1 of the 6 classes, each with a special ability, to play for the entirety of the game. On your turn you can move, give a treasure card to a team mate, or shore up a flooded location. After that the player will then draw 2 treasure cards along with flood cards. Treasure cards can be any of the treasures, or a waters rise card, while flood cards tell you which location on the island to flood. A waters rise card will then take any flood cards you have already drawn and put them back on top of the deck! In order to get a treasure a player must have 4 of that treasure's cards and be on the corresponding temple. Once your group has found all treasures its a race back to the helipad to safety!However your group must think carefully about how to make the most out of your turn, as the island is slowly sinking and you only have a limited time to get off the island. Forbidden island is a great game for 2-4 players.

Forbidden Island is a great strategy game for both kids and adults alike. It's very different from most other strategy games because instead of trying to defeat the other players, you are all working together to achive a common goal. The general idea of the game is that the players are all searching a secret island looking for four lost relics. The players must do this in a timely manner, since the island is slowly sinking into the ocean. Can you and your friends escape the island with the treasue before sinking into the ocean along with the island? Pick up your copy of Forbidden Island today and find out!

This easy-seeming game is deceptively challenging and intriguing. It's a strategy game with a good dose of luck as you negotiate your way around the quickly sinking island. My family and I have only ever played the easy version and we still find it a challenge to stay a float before the island goes under. It's cutting down to the wire tactics leave you on the edge of your seat until you can fly off the island. Though I found the ending to be slightly anticlimactic, the game is addictive and I found myself wanting to play again and again. For those seeking a strategy game that is highly unpredictable and increasingly exciting as the game goes on then I recommend Forbidden Island.

Four ancient and precious relics are scattered throughout an ancient and nearly forgotten island, it’s up to you and your fellow adventurers to get those relics off the island, but act quickly! It’s a race against the clock, as every turn brings the island closer and closer to utter disaster! And if the island sinks, it takes the relics, (and possibly you!) with it.
Play with up to three friends, (four players total, including you!) and strategize to get these relics, and yourselves, off the Forbidden Island!
Forbidden Island features simple instructions making it very easy to teach new players how to get right into the action! It also makes a wonderful family game and is appropriate for children as young as 10!
I’ve enjoyed playing and replaying this game time and time again, it has great replay value, and a very engaging play style.
If you love to play cooperatively with your friends and family, and you love to strategize and work together to achieve a goal then Forbidden Island is the game for you!
