For all the Quelf fans out there Wiggity Bang has done it again! They made yet another crazy, random, nonsense, hilariously- ridiculously awesome party game. Furt is the new Quelf for the year 2011, it combines a lot of the elements that most great party games have into one. The whole game revolves around the concept of laughing and making others laugh. This game can quickly became very loud and silly, but the group at Wiggity Bang thought of that in advance and put a warning label on the box for party-poopers.

The object of the game is simple be the 1st player to reach the center volcano and survive a Straight Face-Off . Players take turns rolling a colored die that will determine weather or not a player will advance based on the challenge they must complete. The challenges themselves are so random it’s a bit hard to describe how silly of a fun time you will have. Challenges are divided by categories THE VOLCANO HAS SPOKEN CARDS are the luck of the draw cards if you roll one of these all you have to do is read the random fact on the card out loud, ponder what it means and move forwards or backwards the amount of spaces the card states. STRAIGHT-FACED CARDS are timed and put all the others players against you in a round where all the other players attempt to say funny words to make you laugh while you attempt to hold a straight face, if you manage to complete it successfully you get to move forward, if you fail the player whose word made you laugh takes the move instead. GUESS WHAT? CARDS are challenge cards that put the player’s talents to the test in a variety of forms such as speaking, acting and drawing while other players attempt to guess what it is. TRUTH OR FICTION CARDS have players guessing true or false statements about each other and wondering just how well they know each other. YOU ARE? CARDS put the players storytelling and acting abilities to the test by having them act out elaborate made up stories while being timed. Finally you have the WHAT THE?? Cards these are what really spices up the game, these cards have secret challenges that players must secretly complete whilst playing the game, theres a time frame for when the challenge must be completed and it must be done in an inconspicuous manner, these challenges award the most amount of points and can quickly end the game if done right.

Aside from the challenge cards there are FUNNY WORD STERIPS which are pieces of paper located inside the center volcano that have random nouns written on them, these nouns must be used when completing challenges if the card states it. There is also HOT SPOT CARDS which basically have rules that must always come into play whenever a player lands on a hot spot on the board.

The game ends when the 1st player to reach the volcano and survives an all against one straight-face off wins the game. Simple, fun, silly and great for large groups FURT is sure to be your family’s top game this year.
