Go is an oriental strategy game that has lasted through the ages, a game of control and territory. The object is simple, you are to obtain the most territories by the end of the game. Place your stones on the grid points anywhere on the board, but watch out, place your stones in the wrong places and they could become captured. To gain territories completely surround a point on the grid with your stones, or multiple point on the grid. A very simple game yet so strategic with so many possibilities, it will take you years to master. If you are a chess player or just looking for an amazing 2 player game I highly recommend Go.

What can be said about a game that is over 4500 years old and is one of THE most played games in the world!

In my opinion this is the greatest strategy game ever invented!

The rules are simple, you and your opponent have 180 “stones” that you use to attempt to capture territory on the board (a 19x19 grid) as you capture territory you limit the play area of you opponent by “surrounding” areas on the grid and preventing play in those areas. Scoring for the game can be as simple as counting up how many stones are left of each color (white & black) when there are no more plays remaining, or there are some specialty scoring methods used by the professionals (yes there are professional GO players).

This game takes minutes to learn the basics and will give you a lifetimes worth of play enjoyment!
