Are you a fan of word Games? Do you enjoy games that provide a 3D challenge? Then Konexi is the game for you. Forget about boring old traditional flat letter making games it’s all about the 3D dimensional aspects now.

So what exactly makes Konexi a 3D game? Well it’s the letters, unlike your traditional flat letters commonly found in many word games Konexi’s letters are actually sculpted letters in their actual shapes. Instead of laying them down flat as you spell out words you are actually stacking them in an upward tower. The more letters you use to spell out a word the more points you earn. But be careful for if the tower falls it’s game over and everyone starts from the beginning again.

Gameplay is simple and the rules are quick and easy to learn. Game begins with all 26 letters being randomly placed around in a circle. 1ST player takes the special Konexi die, rolls it and based on the number it lands on moves the Konexi mover token to in between the 2 letters the number on the die landed on. The player must then use the letter he or she chooses to begin the Konexi Letter Tower. Gameplay continues with each player repeating what the 1st player did until a word is formed and a player calls it out. Points are then given whenever a player spells out a word based on how many letters were used. The rules for scoring words are that the letters used to spell out a word must all be touching and connected in some way, the order of the letters does not matter but they all must be connected in some way in order for it to be considered a word. 1st player to reach 20 points wins the game.

That’s all there is to it, it’s fun simple yet strategic all at once. It’s a great family game and a fantastic teaching tool for spelling games.

Konexi is a great new game that brings Scrabble and Jenga together in a new game that offers unique challenges. On your turn you’ll end up picking between two letters to add to the growing word tower. Once you’ve selected your letter, you have to carefully add it to the tower making sure not to knock it over. As you choose where to add your letter you’re going to want to think about how you might be able to spell a new word with it’s addition to the tower. If you can spell a word after adding your new letter, you get 1 point for each letter in your word. If you knock the tower over, you lose 3 points, so be careful. The first player to get to 20 points is the winner.
