NINETY-NINE OR BUST! is a huge hit with anybody old enough to add. Involves card counting and adding scores as fast as you can lay down the cards. If Pocket Farkel was a card game, this would be it.

Ninety-Nine or Bust is a maths counting game in which players try to get as close to 99 without hitting it or going over. This game is played in rounds with tokens being lost whenever a player loses a round. Last player standing wins. At the beginning of the game you draw 4 cards and then play then draw a card to end your turn. Should you forget to draw before the next player plays, your hand-size is one less which puts you at a disadvantage. Cards are 2s through 9s, -10s, reverse direction, stay the same and 99 (junk card that can’t be played). Upon playing a card you announce the new (or same) value of the total. This makes it a great game to teach children basic math, but with all the strategy of when to play which values and when to use wild cards and -10s, its great for adults as well.
