Who doesn’t just fall in love with cute pink piggies? I know I’m a sucker for the little snorters but for me, a game has to be intriguing, challenging, and fun. PIGZUP fills all these requirements with gusto.

The goal is to get rid of all of your cards first. Players simultaneously play their small round cards (perfect for little hands) from their own stacks. Attention to detail is very important here because if 2 or more cards have matching numbers and at least ONE common color then the race is on! Grab the same number of wooden pigs that correspond to the number on the matching cards (i.e. 3) and stack them on top of each other faster than anyone else, pull your hands back and say “PIGZUP!”. Your stack musn’t fall over or it doesn’t count. If you win the round, you get to discard your cards. If you lose the round, you must put your cards at the bottom of your draw stack. The first player to discard all their cards wins the game.

There is even a special die you can use for more advanced play. Roll the die at the beginning of each round. If the open hand is rolled, you may only use ONE hand to stack your piggies. An ear means you can only pick them up by their fuzzy pink ears to stack them and an index finger means you can only pick them up between your pointer fingers! This game utilizes very important kindergarten skills like fine motor, number recognition, color recognition, attention focusing and quick thinking.

I didn’t even come close to winning but, I didn’t care because I was too busy laughing! They even painted cute little curly tails on the piggies rumps.
