First there were the comics, next a television series. Now there’s a game of The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead as we all know it is a very popular Graphic novel series featuring a group of people trying to survive a Zombie outbreak. True to its name, the Walking Dead never dies. In the Game each player takes on the role of a survivor with a tag along. The object for you as a survivor is to find a safe location for you or your group by successfully scouting three locations.

During the game each player moves across the board to collect food, ammo, and gas. When a player lands on a space with resources they flip a card from the encounters deck to determine what type of problem they must face to retrieve the resources. If the player solves the problem whether it is fighting zombies or someone is injured. They are able to pick up the resource and continue on. Be careful though as the game progresses so do the number of zombies. When a player moves off of an unoccupied space that player takes a zombie token and places it down on that space. Each zombie token has a different number value on it representing the amount of zombies that are in that location.

When scouting a location a player must complete three sets of obstacles each depending on whether the location is being scouted for the first, second, or third time by that player. Once all three obstacles have been met the player is free to claim that location as a safe heaven. Play continues until a player has scouted three locations successfully.

The Walking Dead board game is a simple yet fun game to play and with the classic art of the comics the game is a great collection piece if you are a fan of the Walking Dead.
