The six you need to win sit on the sidelines, in the gutter. Your victory is clean. Black and white. Next time will be different, as you penetrate deeper into abalone’s spell. Sharpen your attack and round off yout defense. Look. Plan. Weigh up your options with every move. Addiction in a game.

A simple game with a challenging twist, the condition to win is very simple, push 6 of your opponent’s marbles off the board. Sounds simple right? Well with the ability to only move 3 of your own marbles and with the restrictions of only being able to push your opponents marbles if you only have one more than the amount push being pushed. Now with only learning about the game just about a week it has gone to one of my top favorite games, every chance I get I sit down and will play the game with almost anyone willing to sit down and learn. For a quick to learn fun long lasting game I recommend this to anyone.

Abalone is a fantastic two player strategy game that pits player vs. player. The object of the game is to try to knock six of your opponent’s marbles of the board before they knock six of yours off, you do this by moving up to three marbles in any direction one step at a time. In order to push your opponents marbles you have to have more marbles then they have in the row (i.e. 3 pushes 2, 3 pushes 1, 2 pushes 1). If you enjoy abstract strategy games like Blokus, Qwirkle or Quarto then you should seriously consider giving Abalone a try, I have no doubt you’ll love it as much as I do!
