Apples to Apples is a fun and highly entertaining party game and one I recommend for this St. Patrick’s Day. The concept of this game is know your friends better than they know you by guessing correctly at which card best suits their answer. All the green cards have adjectives on them and the red cards have nouns, your goal is to guess right and collect more green cards than your opponents. Green cards have the original adjective and 3 similar words where as red cards have cute catch phrases on the bottom like “Global Warming, is it hot in here or is it just me?” This might not sound that entertaining but you only have the cards in your hand to choose from. Some of the time your hand will work out perfectly, for instance if someone plays “Misunderstood” you may have a card that says “Girlfriends” or “Beethoven.” My friends and I never got that lucky playing this game; more often than not we found that “Forest Fires” were “Demanding” and “Dinosaurs” were “Adorable.” This game is for ages 12 to adult and it recommends that you play with 4-10 players but I have personally played with more than that; also there is an expansion pack available.
